WORDS OF PRESIDENTS
The 24th UEMASS Congress is over and it was a great success!
Thank you everyone for your participation.
It was a joy and pride for all the delegates to meet and debate in this symbolic place of European democracy, the European Parliament, on September 28 and 29, 2023.
The members of the Organising Committee of our 24th UEMASS Medical Scientific Congress extend their warmest thanks to the teams of the European Parliament in Strasbourg for welcoming us and accompanying us during the holding of our Congress.
Mrs. Alos and Mr. Belaich were helpful and efficient, which greatly contributed to the success of our Congress; we are particularly grateful to them.
September 30 allowed us to return to the benches of the Faculty of Medicine where Professor Sibilia, dean of the Faculty of Medicine since 2011 and director of the new Faculty of Medicine, Maieutics and Health Sciences, welcomed us. We thank him for this welcome.
Our thanks also go to Dr Feltz, Deputy Mayor of the beautiful city of Strasbourg who welcomed us and opened the doors of his city for our Congress.
Reminder of information concerning our association (asbl), the European Union of Medicine, Insurance and Social Security.
It is made up of 24 member associations which are present in 19 European countries.
Our congress was once again held in person despite apprehensions linked to the pandemic.
It allowed the 600 participants to access 100 communications and 50 displayed posters.
The success of our Congress is the result of the commitment of the members:
- of the Scientific Committee (Sci-Co) of UEMASS,
- and the Organising Committee (OC) made up of the associations UFMASS (FR) and ASMA (BE).
The objectives of UEMASS were achieved during our 24th Congress:
- allow a platform for the exchange of experiences between medical advisors
- facilitate the dissemination and sharing of scientific knowledge and clinical “good practices”
- defend ethical standards
- ensure representation at European and international levels.
We look forward to seeing you in 2026 for the next UEMASS congress, hoping to see you there.
